Who does not long for Onimusha? Successful Franchise reap success since the presence of second-generation PlayStation is indeed phenomenal. By carrying out the plot that revolves around the hero's struggle against a ruthless bunch of demons, Onimusha game system comes with quality graphics and above average. But when the next-gen consoles begin to gain a place in the hearts of gamers, Capcom as the publisher seemed to just let Onimusha marginalized. Are we going to enjoy one of the best games hack and slash it in the future?

Gamers certainly want this to happen. It does not matter if there is no longer the face of Takeshi Kaneshiro or Jean Reno who could make this franchise so phenomenal. We long for is a pleasant sensation that is felt when playing this game, and I'm sure most of you agree with him. Will Capcom make this happen for gamers? A great hope came when a senior developer from Japan, Yoshinori Ono gave a statement which is quite encouraging. Yes, we may see this franchise again in the future.

Ono said that personally he feels it's time to revive the Onimusha franchise that has been buried for years. However, Ono also confirmed that if in fact it will happen, will not be present with the Onimusha game formats such as those offered by the previous series. Series to be launched for next-gen consoles will be carrying a new style of game, and Capcom would not hesitate to do a little experimenting with adapting the things they had never done before. Ono even considering to bring the online features in it.

Although still in the limit concept, but what was raised by Ono is indeed worthy of note. As a senior who was well respected within Capcom, Ono interest can mean a reality in the future. If Ono feels it's time to re-release of Onimusha, I personally believe the majority of gamers will be nodding in agreement without objection. With quality graphics that can generated by next-gen consoles now and details can be displayed, Onimusha will be transformed into an extraordinary game. I hope not.
